It was a great weekend at Desert Mesa, saw lots of friends and did lots of laughing. Came home with goodies to spin and goodies to read. Thank you to Yarnfloozy. Forgot to take Sheila her pattern but can mail that. All in all it was a fabulous four days. I would post photos but my IPad and blogger don't get along.....
On the moving front I have two more boxes to go to the second hand shop and some yarn to go to knit night. Cory brought me a pick-up load of boxes yesterday and took a small load to the dump. I gave her one of my sewing machines as six is definitely more than I need ................. Yes honestly I really don't need six I can manage just fine with five. Sorted throught the cedar Chest and took out all the spun wool so there is just fibre in there. Now all my fibre does fit into the chest and two large totes. I have a large tote of handspun yarn with very few ideas of what I am going to do with it.
Today I am going to pack the things on and in the side board. Plus maybe the dragons and the sheep.
DH hasn't packed much of his stuff. I packed one tote and he packed one so he better get on it. He has his left knee surgery at the end of this month so won't be doing anything for at least a couple of weeks. Oh yes I packed boxes in a small box. Bill always natters at me about packing books in small boxes. I guess the first time we moved the book boxes were a little heavy.................
Well I guess I had better get to it
This is mostly about the crafts I am doing in my retirement but with the odd comment about family and friends.

Packing and dejunking
Well as we are moving in June we have to get rid of stuff as I don't want to have to pack and move it. Oh oh........... I am still going to pack and move it ........ Just not to our new house. I am hoping to have my ROOM so organized it will be lovely to view at all times ................yeah right but hopefully it won't be an eyesore.
So far four boxes went to the second hand store, three boxes of books went to the daycare/preschool, and a lot of magazines went to friends. I now have two more boxes for the second hand shop, one box of books for the library and one box of books for my knitting friends. I have emptied three short Rubbermaid totes and filled two tall totes (not with the stuff from the small totes that stuff goes to the second hand shop). All my spinning stash is in two tall totes, one bankers box and a trunk. I am compiling my knitting and quilting stash to fit in the wall unit and the cupboard . Hopefully all my craft books and magazines will fit in the big book shelf. This is my plan .......... Will it be a successful plan ...............time will tell.
On the knitting front I am test knitting a little pullover that will fit Elizabeth and I need to put the zipper in Shelby's sweater. My several shawls are on hold. I have finished the hooded cowl for SIL just have to add buttons.
Quilting not much happening at the moment, need to pick out fabric for a wedding quilt and then I have to finish it plus another one. Cory and Aaron's quilt is marinating and several are on hold.
I bought a quilt rack the other day for ten bucks. It will be in the new living room and hold the quilts and afghans we use.
Spinning I am still working on the fibre that will become a sweater thing for me. Spinning is hard to do if the munchkin is around as she wants to sit on my knee and help.
Next weekend I should gets to spin a lot as I am on a spinning retreat ........... Hurray. The girls will look out for Bill, I will phone home every night to make sure all is well and the rest of the time is spin, visit, spin, eat, spin, visit, spin, eat, spin, visit, spin, eat, spin, visit, spin, sleep and the next day we get to do it all again .............. What a lovely way to spend the weekend.
