I need to write about this as it was so much fun but want to put in a picture so will save this space and write more later. My Dear Sisters flew me to Edmonton , Alta on March 2 and we spent a long weekend together. I had a fabulous time. More to come......
Friday night Wenday and Janice meet me at the airport and took me to our hotel. We ordered pizza from room service and decided to put wax on our hands while we waited. Wouldn't you know it ...................The pizza arrived before we were ready to take the wax off. Janice answered the door as Wendy and I were in our PJ's. To make this long story a little shorter the waiter thought we were waxing our hands to remove excess hair...............................ROFLOL How hairy did he think we were!!!!
Saturday we did a reminisce tour of Edmonton where my parents were married,I was born, schooling , Mother's grave , etc................. Lots of fun and photos in front of every building. Then we went to the MacDonald hotel in our blue jeans followed by shoppping. Janice is really bad about buying clothes for herself so I made her buy two pairs of pants, three tops and a vest. They looked great on her......she is the slimmest of the three os us. Dressed up for dinner at Tony Roma's.........................I think we got the attire and the restaurants a little mixed up.
My Niece Koren (Wendy's daughter and my only niece) and cousin Pat came with us Saturday and Sunday. Sunday we visited Auntie Norma and 8 of her 10 children came to see us. It was really wonderful. I had a fabulous time. Monday - shopping at a yarn store............Wendy bought a set of Denise needles and I bought a book on Modular knitting and a skein of "socks that rock "yarn . Thanks to Pat... Monday afternoon I flew home, Wendy and Janice drove back to Ft. St. John, Koren drove back to Calgary and Pat lives in Edmonton so she was already home.
It was an absolutely fabulous weekend BUT what the heck am I going to do when they turn 60?????????????? THANKS again Girls ....... Love you all.
This is mostly about the crafts I am doing in my retirement but with the odd comment about family and friends.

Snow

Well we woke up to great big flakes of snow falling and no heat. Jill lit the furnace for us 3X but it won't stay going so hopefully the repair man will be able to come tonight.
I finished my Feb. mid-month bookmark which will look better when it is blocked.
Then I made three beaded bracelets plus a dozen stitch markers . The stitch markers are for me and two of the bracelets are for my sisters.

Mid-month wash cloth
pity party
I have bronchitis and at the moment I am having a little pity party. I missed dinner with the Loud Crowd, the Weavers and Spinners Guild meeting and Fat Quarter Tuesday.
My CT scan appointment had to be changed, so I have to wait another month. I am not happy.
I did finish a wash cloth from the mid-month Kal, but goofed up the bookmark pattern as my brain is not working. Some one has put it on "stun and hold". I am going to do the bookmark over again with fingering yarn, not crochet cotton.

Here are all the goodies that I recieved from Maggie in Alaska. I was delighted with the parcel and am savoring the socks I will make from the opal yarn. The Magnets, the mug, the handmade bag, the DPN made from Bamboo, the seeds , the little gingher scissors in the case. It is a wonderful parcel. Thanks again Maggie I love it all.
