A very happy Mother and Baby

Birth annoucement

Elizabeth Nancy was born today at 12:49,
Weight- 7 lbs 15 ozs
Length- 20 inches

Today is the day...........

DD#1 took DD#2 to the hospital today for her caesarian ........................... the new Granddaughter should be here by noon. Shelby and I are leaving for the Hospital about 11:00 as she wants to be the first one to hold the baby after the Dr. , nurse, Mum and Auntie Cory ................................ I guess I will be next after Shelby.

We gave Shelby a phone so she got something special when her baby sister arrives............. life will be different for her as after almost 10 years she is no longer the only child. Being the oldest of 5 I have no idea what it is like to be an only child. I am 3 years older than my brother so I don't remember life before Bob .......................... life with Bob was definitely Interesting. That reminds me our family Dr. ( he really does see all of us) told me I have an interesting family. I wasn't quite sure how to take that as there is a Chinese curse that is rather similar " May you live in interesting times"....................... that we do. Some days it feels like we go from one crisis to another but on the whole life is good.

Shelby was very excited about her phone and I think she called everyone she knew last night. She has free evenings and weekends plus unlimited texting. Today I have to take a photo with her camera so she can send it to her friends.

The buggy blanket isn't going well. I only had one ball of each colour and initially thought about doing three pattern repeats but then did four.................. if I had done 3 I would have been able to make the sections equal but with four it doesn't work so now I am visiting the frog pond. Sooooooo last night I went to Knitting and spun.

I am so frustrated with myself. The photos I took this morning are fuzzy because I was a little shakey Just look at them. This is my wonderful swap parcel from LisaD.

Blog, blog,blog,blog......................

Well the tearful phone calls from the DD with marital issues are done . The other DD has her baby on Thursday this week by cesarian so no more trips to the emergency wit false labour. DGD's father is no longer here causing concerns that require a 911 call . Did you know that 911 got us 3 policemen, 3 firemen and 2 paramedics. Don't ask me if they were good looking . I was busy dealing with crying children and mopping up vomit.

Most of these events occurred within one week. Jill's car has died so she is borrowing mine when she needs one. Shelby went to her other Grandparents for 2 weeks with her half sister Jessica. Lorraine and I picked them up today at the Merrit turn off on the Coquhalla highway.
When I asked the girls what they did at Grandma's they said "fight". I think Pat was glad to send them home.

I am knitting socks for me and a buggy blanket for the new baby. I am also working on an applique block and a couple of quilts.
I have to get a couple of things done before I meet my Niece-to-be as she is going to take things to Ft St John for me.

I received the most wonderful parcel from LisaD. We were partners in a wee sock swap. Her parcel is much nicer than the one I sent her as she really tied everything to the Rapunzel theme. I will post photos later today.

Okay so I have updated this blog. I can't believe that May was the last time I wrote anything but life has been hectic and very emotional.
