Photos as I promised

This morning I took photos of the house and some of my new fibre acquisitions .................. I am sure glad the computer can spell otherwise you wouldn't be able to read this. I definitely need more coffee or something................. this morning. As you can tell I am still unpacking and organizing. This will probably take at least a month or more. There is no photo of the bedroom as DH is still asleep and I don't think he would appreciate me waking him up to take pictures of the room. I will take a photo later so you can see the Pooh and Tigger decorations on the wall.................................. DGD thinks we need to paint. What do you think?//.............. It isn't every adult that has Pooh and Tigger on the walls of their bedroom.................... LOL

Well this has definitely been a fibre week ........ Monday - quilting at Jackies, Tuesday - Weavers and Spinners guild meeting, Wednesday- Sock Knitting. I could go to Knitting at Knitopia tonight but DH is starting to feel neglected ............. poor man.
Oh yes I received swap blocks from Susan in Australia and they are gorgeous .......... don't you agree. I took photos of my new fibre acquisitions. Some is the yarn I bought at Knitopia last week and some is my recycled yarn I acquired a while back.

OH YEAH -----I found my Dear Jane and Quilted Diamonds books in a BOX of all places...................... what a surprise ................ the guild library books were there as well. I am a very happy woman.Oh yes and I used a gift card to buy a knitting book I have wanted for quite a while...................... Socks-Socks-Socks. I am going to try those goofy multidirectional funky socks ............I can't remember the name and I am too lazy to standup and get the book off the couch. Guess what --------------THE SUN IS SHINING AGAIN TODAY . I don't know about other people but I definitely have more energy when the sun is shining. Well I am off to look for boxes that need unpacking.....................have a great day everyone and I hope the sun us shining on you today.

Robbing Peter to pay Paul...............

........... this is what I seem to be doing. I move boxes from point A to point B so I can move boxes from point C to A and then I move the boxes from D to C so I can get a bookshelf into D..................... and round and round we go. I keep breaking down boxes but there doesn't seem to be a lot more room in comparison. Tomorrow I am going to the specialist with Bill and then I am going quilting at Jackie's. Bill's leg looks a lot better so hopefully he has had enough antibiotics to kill the infection. He still tires really quickly but hopefully that will improve quickly.
My knitting needles and yarn stash have been located and I know where all the sewing machines are but I can't find my Dear Jane or Quilted Diamonds books..................arrrruuuuuuughh................Why can't I remember what box I packed them in.............I only packed about 467 boxes more or less. Actually I never counted but it felt like 467. I still can't find the long skinny box with the knives in it but we are managing with a paring knife and the cleaver. The kitchen is almost organized, I did move some dishes around today and have got rid of a LARGE box of Tupperware and other storage items. I need to remember that there is only two of us.......... our youngest is 32.
Oh yes Shelby was here today and yesterday. She doesn't want to leave when Mum comes as she is too busy climbing and being "Queen of the World". The only thing that seems to worry her is "Grandma Dragon". Have you ever been slain by a chop stick???
I had a fibre day on Thursday after I went to the tire shop to get rid of the "woobble woooble wooble " when I drove. Went to visit a quilt shop that has a new owner and he has bought fabric I will buy. Actually I did buy some fabric. Then I went to Knitopia bought some luscious lace weight yarn, Harmony by Jojoland and some sock yarn, Melody by Jojoland. It was knitting night at the shop so I stayed for awhile and worked on my opal socks.
Well it is 11:35 and I am off to bed.

Yeah............pots

Well today I found the rest of the pots and the library books (I owe a small fortune in over-dues)........................ but still no knives or Dear Jane book. I NEED to find the Dear Jane book as it has the swap blocks that I need to complete. It is also packed with the guild library books that I need to turn in at the meeting next Tuesday.
I finished the short socks for my DD, Cory ....... Photo tomorrow. Went to sock knitting tonight and started a new pair of socks .................. for ME. They are from the opal yarn a Dear Friend gave me for my Birthday.
DH had his Ultra sound guided needle biopsy so we should know the results in a few days. The prednisone is taking the itch away and making the hives go away .................. Thank goodness as the poor man was just about going round the bend with the itching.
I had a massage today and didn't fall asleep on the table afterwards this time. I may treat myself to a 60 minute massage once I have finished unpacking everything.................... Of course someone will have to pour me into a bucket to take me home afterwards.................................. It is now Wednesday so I think I should go to bed...........

Life goes on

It is 2:30 am and I can't sleep so I thought I would have some warm milk and update this blog.
Bill is still covered in itchy red spots and his leg is still infected but the specialist said on Wednesday that she wanted to wait until the allergic reaction settled down before doing anything else because it is hard to tell what is going on. Friday he was supposed to have an 'ultrasound guided needle drainage' of the clot left from the bruise on his leg but there was a problem.
We were to go to Royal Columbian Hospital but they couldn't do it so sent it to Eagle Ridge Hospital but ..................... they
forgot to tell us about the change..................... DUH .......... by the time we found out it was too late so it is rebooked for Wednesday.
The house ........................ still in chaos but Shelby and I went "climbing" in the back room and we now have some pots and pans, more of my clothes so I don't have to wear Bill's old pants and ............................... TADA .................................... my box of sock yarn and the box with my DP needles in it. Now I just need to find my sewing that sits by my chair so I can finish the DJ swap blocks and I am a happy camper.
I have found the book shelf that I want to put in the kitchen ...................... I just need to figure out how to get to it on the back porch and get it off the porch. If I can at least get the kitchen organized life will be easier but on the other hand I haven't been doing a lot of cooking ................................... hum ....................... how badly DO I want to organize the kitchen?
One thing for sure WE HAVE HEAT.............. The old land lord complained that we didn't clean the floors or the stove but Jill dealt with him ...........................I mean he was ripping up the floors and throwing out the stove ......................IT NEEDS TO BE CLEANED FIRST. Thats like washing your garbage before you throw it out.
Well I think I will go back to bed and see if I can get some more sleep. Good night all.

Moved but in chaos .................

We have moved but it has been an experience I never want to repeat. It took three days to move us, mean while Bill is having to go for IV antibiotics twice a day. He has developed an infection in his leg from the accident. This takes 5 - 7 hours out of our day.......... yesterday he developed an allergy to the antibiotics so now the specialist wants to wait two days until the hives go down before she does any thing else.
I can't get in the craft room or on the back porch. Thanks to my wonderful friend Lisa we are able to sit in the living room, eat at the table in the dining area and cook a little in the kitchen . Without Lisa and our daughter Jill we would never have survived this move.
My shawl pattern is packed somewhere, my sock pattern doesn't make sense so I am working on a scarf.................. the plan is to take things easy for the next few days and try to recover from the stress of the move, Bill's illness and the car accidents the family has had in the past month and the friend who has cancer, etc..............
